Today we talk about the new edition, the Saucony Xodus ISO 2, the trailrunning shoe for neutral runners that perfectly combines cushioning and stability thanks to its reduceddrop. It is an all-terrain shoe with which we can perfectly walk through the most complicated mountain terrain. In addition, in this second version we have seen its upper completely renovated and reinforced with a characteristic thermosealing, and an innovative midsole from Saucony.

Saucony Xodus ISO 2, stability and comfort in the mountains.

Let's get into the performance of this model. This Saucony trailrunning shoe stands out for its low drop of 4 mm, considerably less than that of the classic models. This increases stability by creating a balance between stability and cushioning, thanks to the reduced drop. Among the advances included in this new model is the Everun technology that provides cushioning with the aim of reducing the impact of the impurities of the ground while the elasticity of a cushioning layer minimizes the loss of sensitivity of the ground. All of these features make this a trailrunning shoe that rewards runner comfort and allows unlimited mileage.

The upper of the Saucony Xodus ISO 2 is one of the parts that has undergone the most changes. We find a very reinforced upper, thanks to the thermo-sealing and its rigid and soft external structure. While the back of this area, the heel, is very padded and reinforced with a rigid structure very useful for running in the mountains. This is an area where much emphasis has been placed to keep the foot effectively protected against any external aggression. In fact, in the front part of the upper a very fine and breathable mesh has been added. And despite having a good level of breathability the protections that have been incorporated into the upper preventing fine rain from seeping through, another thing will be when you receive larger amounts of water and the truth is that, therefore the drying inside of the shoe is also slower. As for the fit, they have opted for a robust tongue that favors this feature so that with the laces we canadapt the fit of the shoe to our needs.

As for the outsole of the Xodus ISO 2, they have opted for a combination of a simple pattern with arrow-shaped lugs. The truth is that the outsole is characterized by being resistant and will perfectly meet our expectations. In fact, we can say that we are looking at an all-terrain shoe, suitable even for extreme trail terrain.

Finally, in terms of technical performance, as we mentioned before, the drop this shoe is lower than what we are used to, 4mm . And the weight, considering that we are talking about a trailrunning shoe is quite attractive, 298 gr
