Year 2018

In terms of technology, few things change in the Saucony Redeemer ISO 2 compared to the original version. The update of this top of the range running shoe in cushioning for severe overpronators focuses on improving the comfort of the model, specially designed to face long distance without worries and with the maximum guarantees of stability, protection and comfort.

Saucony Redeemer ISO 2, most outstanding features of the midsole

To continue being one of the references that do not go unnoticed for that profile of runner who needs an optimal level of stability and support to correct the excess of pronation in each stride, Saucony designers maintain their firm commitment to implement the combination of the exclusive EVERUN and SSL EVA compounds in its midsole.

The SSL EVA material is a more advanced foam than standard EVA, and is presented in the form of dual density, making this running shoe allows to have under control the overpronation, but also is able to increase the rebound and durability. And with the added bonus that this does not increase the weight of the model, and even the opposite, because it also helps to reduce it.

For its part, the EVERUN Topsole layer is presented as the best cushioning material of the Pennsylvania firm. Its main argument in favor is that it allows a more reactive cushioning, since it is located closer to the foot, which undoubtedly favors a smoother landing phase, and thus minimizes the pressure and impacts in each step.

Dynamic upper fit and Tri-Flex outsole

As in the first version of the Saucony Redeemer ISO, this second interaction also incorporates that trademark dynamic fit of ISOFIT in the upper of the shoe. As such, the Saucony Redeemer ISO features a seamless interior, but also brings with it a series of independent tensors that create that more responsive feel. In addition, this type of ISOFIT fit also contributes to greater adaptability to the natural movement of the foot during running, as if it were a sock. At the same time, they offer superior support.

To maximize comfort, the Saucony Redeemer ISO 2 features a rigid platform with zigzag grooves and a softer toe box elevation, which contributes to the shoe's comfort.

The outsole of the Redeemer ISO 2 also uses the characteristic Tri-Flex system, which works in conjunction with the EVERUN material, allowing the impact forces to be better distributed throughout the shoe. In addition, it is evident that with this innovative system, this stability control shoe from Saucony also gains in flexibility and traction.

Regarding its technical specifications, the Saucony Redeemer ISO has a drop of 8 millimeters (22mm in the forefoot and 30mm in the heel), and weights of approximately 340 grams for the men's version and 298 grams for the women's version.

With all this, the Saucony Redeemer ISO 2 maintains its preferred position for the overpronator runner, who is looking for a daily training shoe with maximum cushioning, stability, safety and comfort for long distances.
