Year 2017

The Saucony Echelon 6, Saucony s 2017 edition, continues Saucony 's tradition of offering a shoe with good cushioning, durability and reliability. They are designed for neutral runners who do not need additional technologies to stabilize the foot and are looking for a daily training shoe.

The sixth version of the Echelon maintains the design seen in the previous edition, with an upper that adjusts correctly to different foot widths. Although these shoes have a design focused on neutral runners, the ample space inside the shoe allows orthopedic insoles to be adapted to give greater support to runners with a pronator footprint.

Upper features

The open mesh upper combines with Sauc-Fit technology to provide comfortable, well-ventilated and adaptive coverage for our feet. This upper also has a structure that helps keep the foot in place, but without restricting the foot during movement, which could cause discomfort or irritation.

The collar with RUNDRY fabric helps keep the foot in place inside the shoe and thanks to its ability to absorb moisture, it creates a fresh environment inside and prevents the growth of bacteria that could cause odors; at the same time the material is very comfortable giving a feeling of a soft fabric.

An insole made of polyurethane, with a thickness of 6mm, is positioned to provide the foot with greater comfort inside; this component is so soft that it will allow us to wear the sneakers all day long.

Midsole

The SSL EVA midsole is recognized as one of the most durable rubber components used in the construction of shoes on the market. Because this material is also very lightweight, the weight of the shoe remains light.

The rubber also creates better rebound with each step, helping to make each stride of the run more even by absorbing shock and impact.

This system is complemented by POWERGRID technology which is a combination of two of Saucony 's technologies and is intended to provide a more efficient and cushioned run by absorbing shock during landing and distributing the pressure produced by the foot when it makes contact with the ground.

Finally, the RSC Impact Zone system is a heel to midfoot support system designed to attenuate shock and prepare the foot for a smoother transition from heel to toe.

Outsole

XT-900 compound made of carbon rubber is added to the outsole to provide greater traction on flat surfaces; the material offers high quality, being able to resist wear and abrasion caused by constant use.

For the most important areas of the outsole, Sauconys IBR+ compound is used, which is 33% lighter than traditional rubber. This rubber is able to provide additional cushioning and improved responsiveness during the run; the material is also highly durable.

Overall, the shoes are designed to offer a good level of cushioning and support, with a fit that adapts to different types of runners. Thanks to their comfort, the shoes can be used not only for running, but also for all-day wear, providing greater versatility.
