With its compact designs and total focus on the demands of different sporting activities such as mountain running, hiking, snowboarding and more, the French company Salomon has diversified its line of sports equipment to accommodate the modern athlete.

In the field of trail running, Salomon presents the Speedcross collection's fourth edition, the Salomon Speedcross 4 (also available in GTX version, i.e. with Goretex membrane). Since the launch of the first Speedcross, these shoes have gained a strong following due to their level of comfort and traction. For this fourth version, the brand decided to keep the main technical features but with some substantial improvements that promise greater stability and performance.

This new shoe is specialised for trail running, and has an improved grip for fast and aggressive trails, with a new lacing and sole design to give the shoe a more solid grip, even on slippery and muddy terrain, without manipulating the weight and unevenness of the original shoe (10 mm drop).

Salomon Contagrip

Salomon has developed a different rubber for its outsole, which offers greater performance both on the road and on more difficult terrain and surfaces. For this design in the Salomon Speedcross 4 running shoes, a mix of different rubbers of varying hardness has been chosen to make the shoe lighter without compromising safety and comfort.

Unlike the previous edition, the prominent lugs of the shoes extend to the sides of the shoe and allow them to have very good traction and stability on different types of terrain.

Salomon LT Muscle

This technology, found in the midsole, is composed of a lightweight, shock-absorbing EVA foam that makes the shoe somewhat more flexible while maintaining foot control and stability.

Salomon Ortholite

Salomon has Ortholite technology in its insole that guarantees protection against perspiration and odour that could be produced in the shoe from moisture. These insoles also bring added comfort to the inside of the shoe, by providing cushioning.

Salomon Quicklace

This is one of the technologies anticipated not only by trail running athletes, but also those who use the Salomon Speedcross 4 shoes for other sports. This custom lacing system of the new Speedcross is adjustable with one pull, easy to put on and made of Kevlar, without being heavy or aggressive to the touch. The shoes also feature an internal lace storage pocket.

Salomon Sensifit FW

A comfortable shoe can make a difference to an athlete's performance in any sport, especially in high-demand sports. That is why Salomon has implemented Salomon Sensifit FW technology in its new release.

This component is made up of a composite fibre fabric which is found in the shoe's upper and which wraps the foot with a lacing system so that it is comfortable and snug, providing a stable and precise fit, which can be noticed right from the get-go.
