The Salming Enroute is an exceptional shoe, but not for everyone. It is a 6mm drop model that favors a natural stride. They are perfect for runners with good running technique for long runs and looking for protection.

Why did we love them?

When you are faced with new shoe moidelos, it is difficult to find new products that add valor. The Salming EnRoute have tried and succeeded. A very light shoe of 260 grams, very fast and flexible, with a good dose of reactive cushioning and with some support for those moments when you lose running technique due to fatigue.

And where is the novelty?

In its upper. It has been designed around the Wrap Around Design concept. Translated, it consists of four different units that combine to create an enveloping and pleasant fit with great breathability.

On one side an ExoSkeleton that is supported by a lacing that allows an exceptional fit of the foot. A tongue with a reinforced design that is part of the upper construction.

An upper composed of 3 layers: A ventilated and very soft mesh that directly contacts the foot, where there are no seams. The second layer ExoSkeleton that wraps and adjusts the shoe to the foot and the third a kind of mesh or net that covers the entire model and gives consistency and durability.

Technologies applied

Anatomical Heelcup:

A heelcup that adjusts the foot without strange movements in the heel area and with a very reduced weight.

3Layer Construction:

The 3 layers we were talking about and that provide fit and durability

TORSION GUIDE SYSTEM 62/75°.

The distance from the heel to the forefoot (62% of the shoe) is designed with additional stability that ends at the so-called "ballet" line, an angle of 75°. In front of the 75° line, we find a very flexible construction to stimulate the natural movements of the foot. The TGS 62/75° function ensures that the shoe bends in the right places, stimulating the natural sideways and forward movements of the foot.

EXOSKELET

The purpose of this exoskeleton is to stabilize and adjust the foot with each step. Avoiding uncontrolled lateral movements and relieving pressure on the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joints. This part of the design eliminates friction and reduces the impact of lateral forces on the soft parts of the foot, especially under the toe cap.

TOE CAP REINFORCEMENT

The toe area is not as tight. There is more freedom of movement. The aim is that the foot can stretch properly in the landing phase, allowing the stride to be more efficient from a biomechanical perspective.

TORSION EFFICIENCY UNIT

The Torsion Efficiency Unit system provides firmness to the shoe for responsiveness without too much support. It has been positioned in the right place for maximum running efficiency.

RECOIL

This is a cushioning compound found in the middle part of the sole and whose purpose is to generate a high rebound effect. It is a cushioning compound that is also found in the heel area and is designed to reduce impact forces and increase comfort at toe-off.
