The On Cloudboom Echo 3 is a carbon plate running shoe designed to reach racing speeds. This third version brings with it important new features in the midsole and upper that we will take a look at shortly. It is the fastest running shoe from On Running, designed to compete over long distances.
The running shoe is aimed at lightweight runners with good running technique. A top of the range cushioning shoe designed to move at fast paces, well under 4:30 min/km. All of this, of course, with On Running's most outstanding technology, which we analyse below:
The Cloudboom Echo 3 from On Running are running shoes with carbon plate technology designed to complete from a 10K to marathon distances. That's right, at competition paces! To make this happen, the Swiss born company have implemented some of their most outstanding technology:
The midsole features the carbon fibre plate infused Speedboard (inner Pebax plate), in combination with the foam, somewhat softer than that of the previous version; the On Cloudboom Echo.
The upper has also undergone changes compared to previous versions. The new model has undergone a redesign in the ankle area, and, a priori, more comfortable materials for a better fit.
In the outsole we also note a redistribution of the compound in order to improve grip.
This is a shoe aimed at light weight runners with a neutral stride who have a good running technique. A runner looking to compete at fast paces, taking advantage of the benefits of the carbon plate.
The On Cloudboom Echo 3 features a 10mm drop and a light weight of 217 grams. Designed for competition, this top of the range cushioning brings with it the latest technology from On Running.
