The release of the long-awaited update of the Mizuno Wave Ibuki 2 comes on the scene. A trail running shoe that ensures good cushioning, comfort and flexibility, being a very versatile model that also comes complete with optimal grip on any outdoor terrain.

Mizuno Wave Ibuki 2, characteristics of its new update

This second version of the Mizuo Wave Ibuki 2 continues to present itself as a good option as a trail running shoe to start running in the mountains, even as an ideal solution as a hiking shoe. A feature that speaks very well of its versatility.

In these Wave Ibuki 2 from Mizuno it is striking that the midsole and upper are joined without any type of seam, which comes to lighten the weight of the model, especially with the firmness provided by its midsole. But this same midsole, by including the characteristic Wave technology inside, makes the model provide both cushioning and stability.

What's more, and as the renovation of this model for trail running initiation points out, it includes an upper made with Knit type mesh and without seams, which makes it lighter, more flexible and breathable. Of course, this change in the upper also contributes to give a more modern and updated touch to the shoe, but it also adds greater resistance.

Perhaps the most novel point that this Mizuno Wave Ibuki 2 brings with it is in its new outsole, which incorporates a specific pattern for moving over mountain terrain. That is, the shoe is able to ensure optimal grip and multi-directional traction, thanks to the studs, which are distributed in two ways: X-shape in the central area, and V-shape on the edges, which allows it to adapt to a multitude of terrains, including uphill and downhill sections. This is what the designers of the Japanese brand have called the X-Lugs system, which not only ensures optimal grip, but also increases protection. In addition, the solid X10 rubber compound of the outsole increases its durability, prolonging its lifespan.

The technical specifications chapter focuses on the fact that this second interaction of the Mizuno Wave Ibuki features a 10-millimeterdrop, as in the original version of the Mizuno Wave ibuki, and weights of 330 grams for the men's model and 295 grams for the women's version.
