The Japanese company has recently introduced the Mizuno Wave Elevation, a minimalist and cosmetically attractive shoe weighing 295 grams in the men's version and 240 grams in the women's model, designed for training on asphalt and especially suitable for runners with a medium build and a neutral stride.
The upper of this Wave Elevation is characterized by being quite breathable, flexible and with a great fit in the instep. The special airmesh material used in the mesh upper maintains a high level of ventilation throughout the life of the shoe, helping to keep the foot cool.
The midsole is made of compression-molded EVA compound. This part of the shoe also incorporates the lightweight and pioneering EL8 compound to provide a high level of cushioning and rebound to make your runs more energy efficient.
As for the outsole, Mizuno has opted to include X-10 solid rubber compound in the forefoot and heel area for abrasion resistance, cushioning and a smooth ride.
