The Hoka One One Challenger ATR shoes once again present their third version with a model that is well on its way to becoming a classic shoe for trail running enthusiasts. The new version comes with minimal updates, but continues to deliver the impressive features that an all-terrain shoe should have.

The highlights of the Hoka One One Challenger ATR 3 can be summed up in two main areas: lightweight cushioning and the speedy feel provided by Hokas exclusive metarocker technology.

The Challenger ATR 3 is a very well cushioned shoe that has been used by off-road runners over long distances, and has the ability to withstand the pace of a marathon and, the next day, to run a long run in training or a trail running race without any problem.

The Hoka One One Challenger 3 ATR comes with a revamped upper. They feature a 3D Puff print frame, which offers breathability and comfort. Thicker dual-density mesh and welded overlays ensure that the foot is protected even on the roughest terrain. The shoe has also been redesigned to offer a more secure fit, the foot feels like it is in a cradle, they are extremely stable. The seamless construction helps reduce irritation and blisters, while the padded tongue offers added comfort.

Well-cushioned, secure and responsive training experience.

The Hoka One One Challenger 3 ATR continues to utilize a remarkable oversized EVA rubber midsole. This offers and ensures lightweight and secure cushioning. The oversized midsole is designed to provide an impressive, well-cushioned and responsive training experience.

This trail running shoe also features the Meta-Rocker system which is specifically designed to allow for smoother running and better propulsion. The height in the heel area is 31 millimeters while in the forefoot it is 26 millimeters, with the drop of the Chanllenger 3 ATR being only 5 millimeters.

The outsole of the Hoka One One Challenger 3 ATR remains the same as the one presented in previous versions. It still features the 4 mm lugs that offer reliable all-terrain traction. The model will not disappoint when used on loose and rocky terrains. The rubber material also provides durability, especially in areas of high abrasion, the outsoles are estimated to have a lifespan of up to 500 miles.

Carbon rubber has been placed in high-wear areas, providing just the right amount of traction to perform well in steep areas or on descents.

In short, the Hoka Challenger ATR 3 is a trail running shoe that is designed to be light and agile on medium-demanding trails, and can be used on asphalt or pavement without any problem because the size of the lugs on the outsole is not excessively large.

If you already own the Hoka One One Clifton model, these can be the perfect complement. It is important to remember that virtually any Hoka One One brand shoe provides more cushioning and height than that provided by its competitors. Definitely, the Hoka One One One Challenger ATR 3 will be a good investment for running in the bush.
