Year 2022

The ASICS staff continues to add new releases at the end of the 2022 season, and to expand its varied and extensive product catalog for all types of runners. On this occasion, lovers of outdoor outings are in luck with the new ASICS Novablast 3 TR. A shoe that faithfully reflects the hybrid concept of a model for daily training on asphalt, but which is also designed for training on not overly technical trial terrain.

Most important new features and characteristics of the ASICS Novablast 3 TR

If there is one thing that makes these ASICS Novablast 3 TR trail running  shoes stand out, it is that they incorporate all the strengths of the original asphalt version of the ASICS Novablast 3 This is a model that is now more flexible, lighter, with better support, and also more sustainable.

ASICS Running's flagship cushioning system, the FlyteFoam Blast+, is incorporated throughout the length of the midsole so that this model ensures both effective shock absorption with more comfort, but with more rebound. A greater energy return that also comes from the extra foam in the heel and forefoot, as well as the rocker effect. Smoother and more dynamic transitions.

In addition, the new heel design provides more support, offering more control to guide the foot in each stride.

The upper of this new ASICS model is inspired by origami geometric elements -also visible in the midsole-. The technical mesh is multilayer, and is made from recycled materials. As indicated by ASICS, at least 75% of the main material in the upper area is recycled (50% of the recycled polyester fabric). In terms of performance, this upper is more breathable, comfortable and adaptable to the foot.

The redesigned tongue also improves the fit, minimizing unnecessary and uncontrolled movements during running.

The aesthetic aspect of these ASICS Novablast 3 TR cannot be left out either. A model that is included in the Natura Bathing collection, whose inspirational base comes from the Japanese expression "shirin yoku" (literal translation: "to absorb the atmosphere of the forest"). A detail that translates into the range of calm shades of nature itself.

Ideal type of runner for the ASICS Novablast 3 TR

What type of runner is the new ASICS Novablast 3 TR aimed at? The typical runner is a runner with a neutral stride, of intermediate weight (up to 75 or 80 kilos) and for dynamic and gentle paces, between 4:30 and 5:00 min/km.

All in all, these ASICS Novablast 3 TR will respond with guarantees of success as a training shoe for running on forest trails, even on asphalt sections.

We have not included it in the features section, because it is one of the main novelties of these ASICS Novablast 3 TR, and it deserves special mention. Of course, with that feature of being a performanceshoe for non-technical outdoor terrain, the outsole of this model has been designed to adapt to compacted dirt, loose soil, forest and trail surfaces.

What are the technical specifications of the ASICS Novablast 3 TR?

Regarding their technical specifications, these new ASICS Novablast 3 TR stand out for being a lightweight shoe, considering the level of cushioning they bring with them. In fact, in trail running shoes for men have a weight of 275 grams, while in the women's version, its weight is 221 grams. A concept of lightness that also transmits its twin sisters of the ASICS Novablast 3 for running 100% on asphalt.

On the other hand, its 8-millimeterdrop offers a sufficient base to run in a more dynamic and agile way, while maintaining those criteria of protection and safety, which will allow you to accumulate kilometers with confidence.
