Year 2018

Today we present the Asics DynaFlyte 3, a model that will give much to talk about in the panorama of Running shoes and that comes with new and innovative systems. In this third edition, there have been important changes in the sole and midsole, areas that hardly changed with the second version. The truth is that the original DynFlyte were the first to include the Flytefoam foam in early 2017, now that component has derived in a Lyte version in its third edition is also a pioneer in betting on a foam that will gradually incorporate the new model of the company and that among other things is more careful with the medíombiente and has greater durability.

Asics DynaFlyte 3 pioneering Flytefoam Lyte midsole

Let's take a closer look at the performance of the third edition of the Dynaflyte saga. In this new version Asics has opted for the new Flytefoam Lyte foam in the midsole, it is a compound that derives from the original Flytefoam found in the original Dynlaflyte and the second version, in fact the original version of this model was the pioneer in incorporating the technology of the firm Asics for the midsole, this new one is more environmentally friendly, has greater durability and is lighter. In fact, from now on the Japanese company will incorporate this compound to all models that initially carried the original compound.

The upper of the DynaFlyte 3 has been slightly updated. We recall that in the previous version the upper was completely redesigned including the new Adept Mesh fabric, seamless. This was a flexible mesh inspired by bamboo sushimats, a really flexible material in one direction while in the opposite direction it becomes stiff. Thanks to this material, the level of flexion of the shoe improved. In this case, the third of the saga includes an updated versionof this system. In its construction it has wider mesh strips for areas where not much flexibility is needed, and thinner ones for the parts where the runner needs more elasticity.

In the lower part of the shoe, there have been major changes. Until now, the sole used the trussastic system in the arch of the medial side, as this component limits the shoe's ability to turn from one side to the other. Asics has decided to go for a full ground contact outsole. That is to say, from the heel to the toe of the shoe, in order to increase the feeling of softness in each step. In the third edition we find the Asics Aharplus material that is characterized by being 3 times more resistant than conventional rubber, in fact the rubber that we see in the heel is the most durable material that Asics currently has in its possession.

The rest of the outsole, as usual, does not need to put so much emphasis on durability so they have used a type of blown rubber that they baptize under the nickname DuraSponge and that forms a lighter and softer outsole, although less durable than the other.

In terms of technical performance, the weight of the Asics DynaFlyte 3 has remained the same as in the previous model, despite the changes in materials, at 255 gr in the men's model and 212 gr in the women's. The drop has a drop of 8mm. The drop has a drop of 8mm, exactly the same.
