Year 2017

The Adidas Duramo 8 is a running shoe that efficiently integrates form and function. This shoe is designed for asphalt and neutral runners, thanks to its comfort can be used daily during running workouts, but also adapt to many other activities and light exercises. Those is a good option for those who are looking for a good value for money shoe.

Upper features

The upper of the Duramo 8 is made with a breathable mesh that covers the foot securely and molds to the natural shape of the foot. This material promotes good air circulation inside the shoe, reducing hot spots that occur as the foot moves.

The seamless construction of the upper features a TPU overlay that is located in the lateral section of the shoe and functions as a reinforcement for this area of the foot. This structure encloses the midfoot and heel for added security; to prevent this reinforcement from completely enclosing the mesh, some open spots were designed where the mesh is exposed, thus maintaining ventilation.

This reinforcement is also linked to the lacing system, so that the shoe can be custom fit by changing the lacing tension, making the midfoot section fit more or less tightly.

The interior features an Ortholite insole that has been added for added support and comfort and also functions as a barrier that controls the growth of bacteria that can cause odors inside.

The inner lining is made of a soft textile, which offers an excellent feel for the feet. This same material has been used to fill the tongue and collar, ensuring maximum comfort.

Midsole

The midsole of the Adidas Duramo 8 is equipped with Cloudfoam technology for superior cushioning. This technology is an EVA compound that was developed by Adidas to provide users with optimal levels of cushioning, preventing discomfort that can occur when running or when simply standing for long periods of time, so this material allows the shoes to adapt well to different sporting activities.

Outsole

The outsole of the Duramo 8 running shoes is made of a NON marking rubber called AdiWear. This proprietary material is highly resistant to abrasion, protecting the shoes from wear and tear, making for a highly durable shoe.

In addition to this, the design of the soles is strategic. A good number of flex grooves and other shallower lines are distributed in a strategic pattern, allowing for greater mobility and flexibility of the foot while walking, running or performing different movements that sports demand.

This design is more or less similar to the previous edition, with the difference of two additional lines in the forefoot and heel section. These lines allow us to separate the grooves into sections, achieving greater flexibility in the transition from heel to toe.

In terms of aesthetics, the previous edition of the Adidas Duramo 8 offered a wider range of colorways to choose from, although it is worth mentioning that we will still have a good number of combinations to suit different styles.

Comfortable, versatile and with enough cushioning to adapt to the most varied workouts, the Duramo 8 continue to offer the features that have made them stand out in previous editions, but improving some functionality details that make them more flexible.
