Features of the adidas Adizero Prime X Strung

The German company is back with a revolutionary Adizero Prime X Strung shoe. It is a model that by structure and technology is equal to the original Prime X, but with the novelty of incorporating a material never seen before in the upper area. A fabric called Strung, which is capable of transforming real athlete data into a dynamic material that adapts to individual needs.

These new running shoes manufactured using Strung technology also allow each thread that makes up the material to be assigned and programmed with different properties. Therefore, it is a dynamic and moldable material for each runner, which makes it probably one of the shoes with the greatest potential for fit and comfort to the foot.

Ideal runner of the adidas Adizero Prime X Strung

Although the upper is different, adidas continues to maintain the essence of this shoe, whose profile exceeds the legal limit set by the World Athletic and can only be used in training or by amateur athletes in all kinds of situations. We are talking about a model to run fast and long, so only runners with a refined running technique will know how to take advantage of it.

It is at paces below 4:15 min/km that the shoe starts to perform, with a more reactive feel below 3:45 min/km. The Prime X is intended for light to medium weight runners, under 70-75kg for men and 60-65kg for women. Although we can use them for daily training, they are designed for middle and long distance competitions, being the marathon where they will perform best.

adidas Adizero Prime X Strung Technical Specifications

Maximum cushioning, that's what the adidas Adizero Prime X Strung offers. It includes 3 layers of LighStrike Pro foam in the midsole, a material with a very soft feel and impressive reactivity. Just by putting them on you notice how the shoe absorbs the impact and at the same time pushes you forward with every stride. That reactivity is even greater thanks to the EnergyRods carbon fiber shanks, a technology that allows a better transmission of forces and a lower loss of energy return with each stride.

As can be seen, the biggest change compared to the original version, the Prime X, is in the upper construction with Strung material. The upper is now a single piece, seamless and very light and flexible. This allows the foot to wrap in a much more comfortable and efficient way, which is necessary for long-distance racing performance.

The Continental outsole of these carbon plate shoes is non-negotiable for adidas. A compound located in strategic areas where the forces of support and impulse are greater, ensuring exquisite grip and traction with every step.

The Adizero Prime X Strung maintain the 8.5mm drop and register a weight of 255 grams in a size 42. This new version is now available for an RRP of €280. Will it be worth it? It's all a matter of trying them out and experiencing the sensations they transmit.
