The Nike Air Max Typha shoes are designed for indoor sports; with adaptive cushioning and a construction featuring a choice of comfortable materials, the Typha keeps your feet safe, cool and nimble through a variety of workouts.

Nike Air Max Typha Construction

A woven upper has been chosen for this shoe, which extends in a single layer of material across the entire upper of the shoe. Some synthetic overlays have been placed in strategic points of the upper, such as in the toe section, the heel and the classic Nike logo on the side. These overlays enhance the shoe's structure and provide greater durability, considering that the rest of its construction is basically fabric.

It is important to mention that the upper fabric offers excellent ventilation; breathability will not be a problem in these shoes and our feet will stay fresh even during long training sessions.

The heel counter of these shoes is somewhat more reinforced, with a TPU-based heel cap that keeps the heel in place and prevents the shoe from coming off the foot in certain movements.

The closure is quite comfortable thanks to the collar and tongue made of padded materials that keep the foot in place. The flat laces also allow for more comfortable lacing and attach to the lateral section of the shoe to adjust the midfoot area as required by the athlete.

The fit of these shoes fits well to the feet regardless of their width, this thanks to their adaptive upper. As with many Nike shoes we've seen recently, the heel and midfoot section are slightly narrower, allowing for a more secure fit.

Cushioning

Cushioning in the Nike Air Max Typha is provided by a layer of EVA foam which offers good cushioning in a variety of workouts. Gym workouts require different types of movements, such as jumping, running or weightlifting, so the midsole molds itself according to the activities required; thanks to its memory capacity, the rubber recovers its shape when no pressure is exerted on it, thus the midsole of the shoes offers greater durability.

Another system used for cushioning is the Air Max technology, which consists of a silicone capsule that we can see in the heel area and helps to improve cushioning in this specific area which receives the most impacts during training.

Outsole

The soles use a highly resistant and grippy rubber; the hexagonal pattern makes the soles offer excellent traction in all directions and on a variety of surfaces. Key areas of the sole have been reinforced with the use of rubber, making them more resistant.

Thanks to these features, the Nike Air Max Typha becomes versatile and comfortable, perfect for indoor sports.
