Good morning Runneantes friends! I recently discovered this homemade recipe: seed bread, and what better way to share it with all of you! From Moms Runners we also do our bit to help you take care of yourself, and in a healthier way. Nutrition, under control!!!???

This is a very simple recipe for GLUTEN-FREE, LACTOSE-FREE AND FLOUR-FREE BREAD, which makes it perfect for all of us who suffer from these intolerances. It is an easy and simple recipe to make, since everything is focused on mixing the ingredients...and bake!

How many people are you making it for? If you make a bread to share, it would be for about 4 people but in my case, as I eat it by myself...it lasts me 3 or 4 days!!!!! I try to make two slices (chubby) for breakfast...although I usually end up with "one as a gift"!!!!! As the ad says...because I'm worth it!!!! ??

  • 4 eggs.
  • 2 egg whites.
  • 10 tablespoons of various seeds: flax, sesame, chia, poppy, etc.
  • 6 tablespoons of Psyllium
  • Salt
  • 3 tablespoons of oil.
  • 2 teaspoons of GLUTEN FREE yeast or a double packet of Gaseosa El tigre.
  • 200ml of almond vegetable drink

Process of elaboration

STEP 1

The process is as simple as mixing all the ingredients (preferably in the order mentioned above) and pouring the mixture into a silicone mold with a baking paper on top (this will make it easier to remove from the mold).

STEP 2

Then it is 20 to 25 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees. The baking time varies according to the type of oven and according to our tastes of more or less toasted.

Practical tips

With all the process carried out, the result that we obtain is a delicious bread, that tastes even more delicious, if you pass it through the toaster before consuming it.

In addition, this is a type of bread that we should keep in the refrigerator, because of the egg it contains. It can also be frozen!

What are the benefits of seed bread?

This is a recipe that provides us with a great amount of fiber (The WHO - World Health Organization - has declared that Psyllium is useful to treat constipation and restore regularity in the intestinal transit) and all the properties of the seeds that we select, for example:

  • Chia: It is a source of protein, calcium, potassium, iron, antioxidants and fatty acids.
  • Poppy seeds: Contain manganese, calcium and to a lesser extent magnesium, phosphorus, copper, iron, zinc, potassium and selenium.
  • Sesame: They are a great source of vitamins A and E, and of the B complex, such as B1, B2, B3, B6, and B9.
  • Flax: It will be our source of polyunsaturated fatty acids omega 3 (75%) and omega 6 (25%). It provides us with digestive enzymes, which will facilitate digestion and promote intestinal transit, vitamin E, B vitamins and minerals.

I usually alternate a sweet breakfast with homemade red fruit jam and a savory one with avocado with oil and ham shavings. In both cases, I accompany it with a glass of almond vegetable drink, to which I add a little cinnamon. "Delicious"!!!!
